JAMSHEDPUR – The last rites of Shashi Bala Devi, mother of former Ichagarh MLA Arvind Singh, popularly known as Malkhan Singh, were held on Sunday at Parvati Ghat in Jamshedpur.

Shashi Bala Devi, 92, passed away on Friday morning while undergoing medical treatment.

Her funeral procession began at 9 a.m. from her residence in Adityapur, with close family members, including her three sons, participating.

Numerous eminent personalities from Jamshedpur and surrounding areas attended the cremation to pay their final respects.

Friends, relatives, and well-wishers have expressed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, praying for the departed soul’s peace and strength for the family during this difficult time.

Shashi Bala Devi is survived by three sons, a daughter-in-law, a grandson, and a granddaughter.

The gathering at the funeral highlighted the profound respect she commanded in the community and the legacy of the Singh family in public life.
