JAMSHEDPUR – The city of Jamshedpur echoed with devotion on the 556th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji as a grand Nagar Kirtan procession was organized, beginning from Sonari Gurdwara and concluding at Sakchi Gurdwara on Friday evening.
The event began with prayers by Akali Dal Jathedar Jarnail Singh, seeking blessings for the well-being of all and the success of the procession.
Central Gurdwara Management Committee (CGPC) President Sardar Bhagwan Singh and his team were honored at Sonari Gurdwara by committee leaders Tara Singh and Sukhwinder Singh, who presented them with shawls.

The procession featured children on horseback, Gatka teams performing Sikh martial arts, and students from various schools participating in disciplined drills while reciting hymns.
Adorned with flowers, the Palki Sahib carrying Guru Granth Sahib Ji was the highlight of the Nagar Kirtan, led by the Panj Pyare.
Sikh Jagriti Manch volunteers scattered flowers along the route, while women from 32 Gurdwara Satsang Sabhas and youth groups sang melodious Gurbani hymns.
The Central Sikh Youth Sabha, led by Amrik Singh, along with Surjeet Singh, Harvinder Singh, and Tarandeep Singh Banni, played a vital role in organizing the event.
At Sakchi Gurdwara, President Nishant Singh and his team welcomed Guru Granth Sahib Ji with ceremonial offerings of rumalas and prasad.
Prominent attendees included CGPC Chairmen Gurmeet Singh and Shailendra Singh, Bibi Ravinder Kaur, Kamaljit Kaur Gill, former CGPC President Gurmukh Singh Mukhe, and national leaders like Kulwinder Singh of Qaumi Sikh Morcha.
The Nagar Kirtan successfully brought together devotees in a celebration of faith, discipline, and unity.
