MEDININAGAR – Palamu residents have started preparations for Chhath Puja following Diwali celebrations.
The markets are witnessing increased footfall for festival shopping.
Moreover, traditional items like Soop are selling for Rs 150-300 per pair.
"Devotees will begin the festival with Nahay-Khay ritual on Tuesday," explained a local priest.
Furthermore, special meals including chana dal will be prepared for the opening ceremony.
Meanwhile, vendors have stocked up on essential puja items.
However, double-layered baskets are commanding higher prices at Rs 300 per piece.
In addition, the main festival rituals will take place on Thursday.
On the other hand, devotees are preparing for the concluding morning arghya ceremony.
