RANCHI – The CPI(M) has announced its candidates for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections, naming 9 individuals across constituencies.
CPI(M) Jharkhand State Secretary Prakash Viplav released the party’s candidate list, highlighting a strong focus on tribal representation.
The list includes five candidates from Scheduled Tribes, one from Scheduled Castes, one from the Muslim minority, and one woman candidate.
Among the selected candidates are Suresh Munda for Tamar, Gopin Soren for Maheshpur, and Swapan Mahato for Baharagora, with others representing Sisai, Chatra, Jamtara, Jama, Pakur, and Mandar.
Each candidate has officially filed their nominations, positioning themselves for the two-phase election set for November 13 and November 20.
Election results are expected to be announced on November 23.
Emphasizing public-centric policies, CPI(M) called on Jharkhand’s electorate to support leaders committed to welfare policies.
The party further urged voters to increase the representation of left-wing parties in the state’s Assembly.
