Fire causes huge damage in paint shop in Sonari Kumharpara

Jamshedpur: A fire broke out in a paint shop near Kumharpara under the jurisdiction of Sonari police station Saturday night causing property damage worth lakhs of rupees.

The locals somehow extinguished the fire. Fire bridge also reached the place and helped in putting out the fire.

The total damaged has not been assessed yet. However, the shopkeeper has ruled out the possibility of diyas being a reason for the fire. He was also not in a position to say whether short circuit might have caused the fire.

The shopkeeper said that they had completed the puja and had gone home. He ruled out that diyas might have caused the fire.

It is estimated that property worth lakhs must have been damaged in the fire incident.
