Two-Day Event Sees Mock Legislature Pass Exam Transparency Bill; MLA Saryu Roy Attends

JAMSHEDPUR – The two-day Samwad 2026 youth parliament concluded successfully in Jamshedpur, with participants debating the country’s examination system, recruitment transparency, and institutional accountability over the course of the event.
On the second day, the mock legislature passed the “National Testing Agency (Statutory Empowerment) Bill, 2026” by a majority. The bill, as deliberated by participants, was aimed at making the examination system more secure, transparent, and accountable.
West Jamshedpur MLA Saryu Roy observed the proceedings of the youth parliament during the event. He praised the participants and spoke about the importance of democratic values and parliamentary traditions. He described the platform as an excellent forum for young people.
At the closing ceremony, noted cardiac surgeon Dr. Lalit Kapoor delivered the keynote address as the chief guest. He conveyed a message of discipline, dedication, and social service to the young participants.
Among the distinguished guests were Professor Kanagaraj of XLRI, Tata Workers Union Vice President Sanjeev Tiwari, Dr. Santosh Gupta, and Rajesh Kumar, all of whom addressed and guided the participants.
The event was founded and led by Aryan Kumar, Shaurya Gupta, and Aditya Pandey. Volunteers Pushkar Singh Rajput, Hridyansh Raj, Abhigyan Jaiswal, Rudra Ghosh, Tizil Tejash Bari, and Arav Gupta played key roles in the smooth conduct of the programme.
The organising committee expressed gratitude to all guests, participants, and collaborators. It also reaffirmed its commitment to promoting youth leadership and constructive dialogue through such platforms in the future.
