JAMSHEDPUR – The Vihangam Yoga Sant Samaj, founded in 1924 by Maharishi Sadguru Sadafal Dev Ji Maharaj, will mark its 103rd foundation anniversary as the Samarpan Deep Adhyatma Mahotsav on December 14 and 15 at the Swarved Mahamandir complex in Varanasi. A 25,000-kund Swarved Gyan Mahayagya will also be organised as part of the celebration, organisers said at a press conference held on Tuesday.
To spread the spiritual message of Swarved and publicise the festival, Sant Pravar Vigyan Dev Ji Maharaj, the fourth-generation successor of Sadguru in the Vihangam Yoga lineage, is undertaking a pan-India journey from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. The yatra began in July and will continue until October.
The saint’s convoy reached Garhwa on September 2 and will travel through Daltonganj and Latehar before arriving in Gumla on September 4. A special spiritual programme will be held that evening from 6 pm at the Narbhe Ram Hansraj School auditorium in Gumla, where Vigyan Dev Ji will speak on various aspects of the Samarpan Deep Mahotsav and address devotees.
Following Gumla, the yatra will continue through Ranchi, Ramgarh, Bokaro and Hazaribagh, with the Jharkhand leg of the journey scheduled to run until September 13. A programme at the Narbheram School auditorium in Jamshedpur is being coordinated jointly by the Vihangam Yoga family of the three Kolhan districts — East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan.
Those present at Tuesday’s press conference included programme in-charge and Seraikela-Kharsawan convenor Shambhu Pandit, East Singhbhum convenor Vijendra Upadhyay, Yuva Vihangam Yoga Samaj Kolhan in-charge Ravi Singh, Neeraj Mishra, Mahavir Kumar and Ram Vinod Gupta, along with other volunteers.
