CPI (Maoist) Puts Up Posters Against Lok Sabha Elections in West Singhbhum

Posters found in Manoharpur, Manipur, Medasain, and Kamarbeda areas, causing panic among locals

The CPI (Maoist) has put up posters in various places and squares in Manipur, Medasain, and Kamarbeda areas adjacent to Manoharpur city, under the Manoharpur police station area of West Singhbhum district, strongly opposing the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

CHAKRADHARPUR – In a bid to protest against the Lok Sabha elections, the CPI Maoist organization has put up posters in several locations in the Manoharpur police station area of West Singhbhum district, causing concern among the residents.

The posters were found in Manipur, Medasain, and Kamarbeda areas near Manoharpur city on Thursday.

The banners and posters made by the CPI (Maoist) featured slogans against the elections, including calls to boycott the 18th Lok Sabha elections and to move forward on the path of building an alternative people’s new democratic power.

The posters also targeted the Narendra Modi government, labeling it as anti-farmer, anti-labor, anti-hard working people, and fascist, while demanding the removal of the BJP government and holding other vote-seeking parties accountable.

The Naxalites’ message suggested that to attain freedom from the current dictatorship and fascist rule, the existing system would need to be completely changed.

With voting scheduled for May 13, the police have been conducting intensive search operations in Naxal-affected areas to ensure a peaceful election environment.

The appearance of the Naxalite posters has created an atmosphere of fear and panic in the area.

The Manoharpur police have removed and seized the posters and have registered a case against unknown individuals in connection with the incident.

Despite the Naxalites’ attempts to create obstacles and disrupt the Lok Sabha elections, the police’s increased morale and recent successes against the Naxalites in West Singhbhum district have put the insurgents on the back foot.

The authorities are investigating the matter and taking necessary steps to maintain law and order in the region.
