Singhbhum Lok Sabha Constituency Gears Up for Crucial Voting Day

1.45 Lakh Voters to Decide Fate of Candidates from Adityapur Municipal Corporation Area

The stage is set for the much-anticipated voting in the Singhbhum parliamentary constituency on Monday, with all administrative preparations in place as approximately 14.50 lakh voters prepare to cast their ballots and determine the victory or defeat of the contesting candidates.

JAMSHEDPUR – As the Singhbhum parliamentary constituency readies itself for the crucial voting day on Monday, the spotlight shifts to the voters of the Adityapur Municipal Corporation area, who play a decisive role in shaping the electoral outcome.

The Adityapur Municipal Corporation area boasts a significant voter base of 1,38,440, comprising 70,841 male voters and 67,598 female voters, spread across 136 booths numbered from 64 to 199.

Interestingly, the candidates have focused their efforts more on the rural areas, with only occasional visits to the Adityapur region for food supply and other duties, leaving the bulk of the work to their party workers.

While voter enthusiasm appears to be relatively subdued this time around, both the NDA and India Grand Alliance candidates express confidence in securing their respective cadre votes, with the NDA holding an edge in terms of organizational support.

It is worth noting that in the previous assembly elections, JMM emerged victorious in Adityapur, with CM Champai Soren securing a substantial lead from this area, underscoring the discerning nature of the Adityapur voters who prioritize their own interests.

The electorate here is well-aware of the performance of the incumbent MP, Geeta Koda, and while she has repeatedly emphasized the need to re-elect Narendra Modi as Prime Minister, her own achievements over the past five years have not been prominently highlighted during the campaign.

Despite the delayed implementation of central schemes like the Adityapur Urban Water Supply Scheme and Sewage-Drainage Scheme, and the inconvenience caused by unfinished road work, these issues have not taken center stage in the electoral discourse.

Meanwhile, Om Prakash, President of Jan Kalyan Morcha and former Vice President of the District Bar Association, has passionately appealed to the people of the Municipal Corporation area to actively participate in this democratic festival and exercise their right to vote, emphasizing the Election Commission’s special arrangements for voters of all age groups, including the disabled and women.
