JAMSHEDPUR – The Kolhan Division announces comprehensive school closure on October 25 as authorities brace for Cyclone Dana’s impact with heavy rainfall and strong winds expected.

A weather expert has indicated that the region should prepare for rainfall measuring between 115mm and 204mm within 24 hours.

Moreover, gusting winds could reach speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour across the affected areas.

Meanwhile, emergency response measures have been activated with strategic deployment of disaster management teams.

In addition, the closure mandate applies to all educational institutions from kindergarten through grade 12.

Furthermore, the shutdown encompasses government, private, aided, and minority institutions across three districts.

However, the cyclone’s influence extends beyond Kolhan, potentially affecting central Jharkhand districts.

On the other hand, authorities have positioned six NDRF teams in Jamshedpur and Chaibasa for immediate response.

Meanwhile, two additional NDRF teams remain on alert in Ranchi for backup support.
