JAMSHEDPUR – Authorities discovered the body of a youth who had been missing from Kadma for a week in the Kharkai River near Radha Swami Satsang Ashram.
The deceased has been identified as 31-year-old Vikas Nayak, who disappeared from a hospital on October 7.
Initially, Vikas was admitted to MGM Hospital due to illness before being transferred to ESI Hospital in Adityapur.
According to his friend Nipani, Vikas’s health had improved, and his brother went to discharge him.
However, in an unexpected turn of events, Vikas fled the hospital before the discharge process was completed.
Subsequently, a missing person report was filed at the RIT police station following his disappearance.
The police recovered the body near the Radha Swami Satsang Ashram, which falls under the RIT police station area.
After the discovery, authorities promptly informed Vikas’s family about the tragic find by the riverside.
Meanwhile, the family members were called to identify the body, which they confirmed to be Vikas Nayak.
In accordance with standard procedure, the police have sent the body for post-mortem examination.
Furthermore, law enforcement officials are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the case.
