State Disburses ₹27 Crore to Empower Women in Jamshedpur

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jharkhand government transfers the third installment of its flagship women’s empowerment scheme to beneficiaries in Jamshedpur.
A significant disbursement ceremony was held at the Collectorate Auditorium.
The event marked the transfer of funds through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Moreover, ₹27 crore 11 lakh was distributed among 2,71,100 beneficiaries.
District Magistrate Ananya Mittal and MLA Jugsalai Mangal Kalindi attended the event.
Furthermore, District Council President Bari Murmu was present at the ceremony.
MLA Kalindi initiated the transfer by pressing a remote, symbolizing the disbursement.
Additionally, acceptance letters were given to 10 beneficiaries as recognition.
The scheme targets women aged 18 to 50 years for financial assistance.
"This initiative reflects our commitment to women’s empowerment," stated MLA Kalindi.
He highlighted that over 50 lakh women are linked to the scheme statewide.
The program aims to promote both social and economic advancement for women.
District Council President Murmu encouraged women to engage with welfare programs.
She emphasized the importance of financial independence for women.
