JAMSHEDPUR – A delegation from the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry met with Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar to discuss Jamshedpur’s developmental needs.
The meeting took place at Raj Bhavan in Ranchi.
SCCI President Vijay Anand Moonka led the delegation.
The team presented several key demands to boost Jamshedpur’s growth.
Moonka emphasized the city’s rich 100-year history as a mini-India.
However, he pointed out critical shortcomings hindering Jamshedpur’s progress.
The absence of an airport topped the list of concerns.
Moreover, the delegation stressed the need for better higher education facilities.
The lack of advanced healthcare options was another pressing issue discussed.
Furthermore, the team called for establishing major public sector companies in Kolhan.
These factors, they argued, contribute to youth migration from Jamshedpur.
The proposed airport in Dhalbhumgarh could significantly boost industrial growth.
Currently, travelers must go to Ranchi or Kolkata for air travel.
The delegation also highlighted the need for multi-super specialty hospitals.
Residents often travel to other cities for advanced medical treatments.
Governor Gangwar assured the delegation of considering their demands.
The meeting underscored Jamshedpur’s potential as Jharkhand’s economic capital.
