JAMSHEDPUR – Former MP and Congress leader Dr. Ajoy Kumar accused Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy of failing to deliver on crucial promises over the last five years, leaving citizens without basic services and favoring corporate interests.

Kumar criticized Roy for neglecting essential development projects in Jamshedpur East.

He pointed out that, despite repeated assurances, no improvement has been made in the Moharda Water Supply Scheme.

Residents in areas like Birsanagar and Bagunhatu continue to receive contaminated and foul-smelling water.

In addition, Roy has failed to fix the road between Jemco Chowk and the South Gate, a vital route for heavy vehicles.

The road remains in poor condition, leading to frequent accidents.

He accused Roy of not taking action to curb these issues, especially in areas like Birsanagar, where land mafias operate with impunity.

“Several of these mafias are under Roy’s protection,” Kumar alleged.

Kumar also criticized Roy for being absent when it mattered most.

He referred to an incident involving the district administration dismantling a warehouse at Lalbaba Foundry.

While Roy had previously assured the public that he would intervene, he was missing when the authorities arrived.

“Saryu Roy is an expert in disappearing when his constituents need him the most,” said Kumar.
