JAMSHEDPUR – The Communist Party of India’s Singhbhum district conference began on Saturday at Bengal Club auditorium in Sakchi.
Senior leaders from the state committee attended as chief guests. At the start, tributes were offered to departed communist leaders. Hundreds of party workers joined the session.
During the event, several senior members who had served for decades were honored. District secretary Ambuj Thakur said the conference aimed to oppose central government policies and prepare strategies for future movements.
He highlighted issues such as rising unemployment and soaring inflation. According to him, permanent jobs were being replaced with temporary employment.
Moreover, he stated that workers were being pushed into deeper hardships. He alleged that public sector enterprises were being handed to private owners, which reflected a drift towards economic subjugation.
The conference, spread over two days, will deliberate on these matters and chart a plan for widespread protests in the coming days.
