Officials Address Safety and Traffic Concerns

The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) advised all Puja committees to ensure that fire brigades can easily access the pandals.

Clear paths are crucial for emergency situations, and the committees were asked to keep these routes unobstructed.

Traffic management was also a key concern for the administration.

The SSP requested that volunteer teams be deployed around the pandals to maintain smooth traffic flow.

Additionally, any major issues should be immediately reported to the district administration to prevent disruptions during the festivities.

Deputy Commissioner’s Guidelines

The Deputy Commissioner also issued several important guidelines during the meeting.

He urged committee members to work in coordination, especially between the older and younger participants, to ensure smooth execution of festival activities.

He also stressed the importance of vigilance against false rumors spreading through social media.

“In case any misleading information circulates, report it to the police promptly,” said a local official.

Strict Action Promised for Negligence

The Deputy Commissioner further warned that any negligence, whether by committee members or administrative staff, would result in strict action.

The meeting addressed various issues raised by Puja committees, with assurances that all concerns would be resolved by the district authorities in time for the festival.

The district administration emphasized cooperation and communication to make this year’s Navratri celebrations safe and successful.
