JAMSHEDPUR – Indian Railways has announced plans to upgrade Tatanagar Railway Station to world-class standards under South Eastern Railway.
The ambitious project will significantly expand the station’s facilities.
Moreover, the number of platforms at the station will be increased.
A six-storey building, standing 150 meters tall, will be constructed.
Furthermore, this new structure will cater to both passenger and commercial needs.
The redeveloped station will cover a total area of 78.71 acres.
Development work is scheduled to begin in October 2024.
Additionally, the project is expected to be completed by March 2025.
Tatanagar Station, part of the Chakradharpur Division, serves many important trains.
On the other hand, the upgrade will enhance the travel experience for passengers.
South Eastern Railway GM Anil Kumar Mishra recently outlined the project steps.
These include necessary road closures and other infrastructural changes.
The transformation aims to elevate the station’s status significantly.
