Former Loyola High School Hindi teacher Dr. Arun Sajjan to receive ‘Best Hindi Teacher Award’

JAMSHEDPUR – Dr. Arun Sajjan, a retired Hindi teacher from Loyola High School, has been selected for the prestigious ‘Best Hindi Teacher Award’ for 2024 by Singhbhum District Hindi Literature Conference and Tulsi Bhavan.
The award will be presented on September 22, 2024, during the Hindi Teachers’ Workshop.
Dr. Sajjan, who is currently serving as a visiting professor at XITE, Gamharia, has a remarkable literary career with 24 books to his credit.
Some of his notable works, such as *Bhagwati Charan Verma Ki Kavya Chetna* and *Ramcharitmanas – Uttarkand: Ek Samiksha*, are listed in the postgraduate syllabus of Ranchi University.
His contributions to Hindi literature have earned him various accolades, including the Ramvriksh Benipuri Sahitya Alankaran from the Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan in Patna and the Sevak Sahitya Samman from Varanasi.
According to a press release by honorary secretary Dr. Prasenjit Tiwari of Tulsi Bhavan, Dr. Sajjan will be honored with a certificate, an angvastram, a ceremonial coconut, and a cash prize of ₹11,000.
Dr. Tiwari highlighted that Dr. Sajjan’s vast body of work, including edited volumes such as *Manas Mein Stree Paatra* and *Bharatiya Swatantrata Sangram Ke Bhule-Bisre Senani*, has had a profound impact on Hindi literature.
In addition, his original works, such as the narrative poem *Magadh Ka Pashaan Purush Dashrath Manjhi*, have drawn significant attention.
His poems and research articles are regularly featured in major literary journals across the country.
Dr. Sajjan, who currently resides in Jamshedpur, has been recognized for his lifelong commitment to Hindi literature and education.
His work not only preserves the richness of Hindi but also inspires the next generation of scholars.
