JAMSHEDPUR – In a tragic incident, the body of a 17-year-old Class 11 student was discovered in a well in Patmada’s rural area on Thursday morning.
The boy, a resident of Belatand, had left home around 7 AM, telling his family he was going for tuition.
When he hadn’t returned by 9 AM, his family grew worried and began searching for him.
They soon discovered his school bag, slippers, and mobile phone near a well located about 2 km from their home.
The police were informed, and officers, with the help of local residents and the village head, retrieved the body.
The boy was rushed to TMH hospital, but doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Police have not yet determined whether the case is a murder or suicide and are investigating both possibilities.
