ADITYAPUR – Congress Jharkhand chief Keshav Mahto Kamlesh attended a grand Karam festival organized by Kudmi Sena Tetomic in Adityapur, dancing to traditional songs despite heavy rain.

The football ground in Adityapur, Saraikela district, was completely waterlogged during the event.

However, this did not deter the enthusiasm of the participants.

Keshav Mahto performed rituals and danced vigorously to Karam songs in the rain.

Speaking to reporters, he praised the festival as a celebration of nature by Kudmi tribes.

The Congress leader criticized Prime Minister Modi’s upcoming rally in Jamshedpur as mere rhetoric.

He highlighted Congress’ role in Jharkhand’s formation, including Sonia Gandhi’s efforts.

Mahto also demanded Home Minister Amit Shah’s resignation over alleged Bangladeshi infiltration.

On granting ST status to Kurmis, he said Congress would consider it if they form the central government.

The event was chaired by Laltu Mahto, with other Congress leaders in attendance.

Despite the rain, folk singer Chumki Mahto enthralled the audience with Karam songs late into the evening.

Many from the Kudmi community participated enthusiastically in the festival.
