Eklavya Model School Opened in Odisha by President, Boosts Tribal Education

President Droupadi Murmu inaugurates an Eklavya Model Residential School in Odisha, enhancing tribal children’s access to quality education and societal development.

DESK – In a significant development, dignitaries including Odisha Governor Raghubar Das, Union Tribal Welfare Minister Arjun Munda, Union Minister of State Bisweshwar Tudu, and other Odisha ministers witnessed the inauguration of an Eklavya Model Residential School by President Droupadi Murmu in Kuliana, Mayurbhanj district, Odisha.

The President highlighted the importance of these schools in fostering the educational development of over 3.5 lakh tribal students nationwide.

She commended the Indian Government’s efforts in establishing over 700 Eklavya Model Residential Schools across the country.

These initiatives, as per President Murmu, are part of a broader strategy to improve basic amenities like railways, national highways, education, and health in tribal-dominated areas.

President Murmu’s personal journey, rising from humble beginnings to serving the nation, was shared as an inspiration for the children at the school.

She emphasized the transformative power of education in personal and national development.

The President’s call for parents to prioritize their children’s education underlines its role in ensuring economic and social well-being.

President Murmu expressed optimism that the new school would greatly enhance educational opportunities for local children.
