JAMSHEDPUR – Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce inaugurated its Diwali Trade Fair, celebrating local artisans and women entrepreneurs.
The two-day event was launched by former president Nirmal Kabra along with Umesh Kanwatia and current president Vijay Anand Moonka.
With over 50 stalls, the fair showcases a variety of festive items, from handcrafted decorations to home furnishings, offering artisans and women entrepreneurs a platform to promote their products.

Manav Kedia, the honorary general secretary, emphasized that the event is free of charge, providing a platform for exhibitors at discounted rates.
President Moonka highlighted the importance of such initiatives in supporting local businesses and fostering women’s economic independence.
He also mentioned that the Chamber plans to expand the event in the future.

Guests, including Kabra and other Chamber leaders, praised the crafts displayed by women and affirmed the organization’s commitment to boosting local industries.
Anil Modi, the vice president, noted that the fair has been organized for several years but this year’s edition is more extensive, featuring a wide array of products, including decorative Diwali lamps, jewelry, and more.
Visitors to the fair are also offered daily surprise gifts through a coupon system.
