IDE Boot Camp at RVS College Concludes with Focus on Innovation

JAMSHEDPUR – The two-day Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Boot Camp at RVS College of Engineering and Technology, which began on September 11, concluded on Thursday with a series of informative and engaging sessions.

The event, aimed at fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among students, featured a variety of activities and discussions led by industry experts and academics.

Industrial Visit to Auto-Cluster

The day’s proceedings began with an industrial visit to the Auto-Cluster in Adityapur.

During the visit, teachers and students from PM Shri School were given an overview of the training programs available, covering essential topics like design, software, hardware, die-designing, and product samples.

This hands-on experience was designed to provide participants with practical insights into the industrial processes and to enhance their understanding of the skills required in the modern workplace.

Expert Sessions on Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The second session of the day was led by Dr. Ruchi Gautam Pant from the Wadhwani Foundation, who spoke extensively on securing financial assistance from the central government for small industries focused on innovation, design, and entrepreneurship.

Dr. Pant outlined the processes and criteria necessary for financial awareness, encouraging students to create self-sustaining environments and to take advantage of the various government schemes available for budding entrepreneurs.

In the third session, Suraj Kumar, CEO of TAXMIN, delivered an insightful presentation on the importance of innovation in everyday life.

He illustrated how ordinary items have evolved over time through innovative processes, emphasizing the need for continuous improvement and creativity in the business world.

Virtual Address and Valedictory Session

Jharkhand Technical University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dharmendra Kumar Singh, addressed the participants virtually, stressing the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship.

He highlighted the critical role that innovation plays in making inventions more useful and beneficial to society over time.

Prof. Singh’s address was followed by remarks from Shivendra Mani Tripathi, Regional Coordinator of the Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education.

Tripathi expressed his satisfaction with the successful completion of the event and reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to promoting innovation and industrial growth across the region.

The Boot Camp concluded with a valedictory session, where certificates were distributed to the participants by RVS Educational Trust Chairman Binda Singh, Treasurer Shatrughan Singh, and Governing Body Member Shakti Singh.

The event wrapped up with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Vikram Sharma, Head of Training and Placement at RVS College, who thanked the guests and participants for their contributions to the successful event.
