JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur FC has strengthened their defensive line for the forthcoming season by signing Serbian defender Lazar Cirkovic to a one-year contract.
The 32-year-old center-back has joined the Men of Steel following a fruitful tenure with Chennaiyin FC, during which he played a critical role in their playoff qualification.
Cirkovic, who is 6 feet 4 inches tall, contributes both physicality and experience to Jamshedpur’s defense.
The Serbian international has a remarkable record, having won the Serbian First Division and Serbian Cup twice with FK Partizan Belgrade.
Cirkovic expressed his enthusiasm for becoming a member of Jamshedpur FC, stating, "I am honored to be a part of this team, which has a long history of success and has had a significant impact on Indian football."

The defender has made 146 appearances in the Serbian First Division and has also played for clubs in Switzerland, Israel, and Hungary.
Cirkovic has European experience, having participated in both the UEFA Europa League and Champions League Qualifiers. This is particularly noteworthy.
