Press Club of Jamshedpur Demands Justice for Assaulted Journalist

Delegation calls for immediate action against attackers of Basudev Karan in Baharagora.

A delegation led by President Putul Singh of the Press Club of Jamshedpur visited Baharagora today to address the recent assault on journalist Basudev Karan.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Press Club of Jamshedpur, led by President Putul Singh, paid a visit to Baharagora today to have a discussion about the unfortunate incident involving journalist Basudev Karan being assaulted.

The team initially met with Karan to collect information about the incident.

After that, they went on to meet with the in-charge of the Baharagora police station, urging them to take immediate action against the perpetrators.

At the meeting, the delegation voiced their concerns to the police administration.

The Press Club of Jamshedpur has warned that if swift action is not taken against the culprits, they will initiate phased protests.

The delegation consisted of well-known journalists, including Rajesh Kumar from Dainik Bhaskar’s Ghatsila office, Mantosh Mandal, Rajesh Choubey, and Pankaj Mishra.

A member of the delegation expressed their concern, saying, "We cannot simply watch as our colleague is being attacked. It is important to have justice delivered promptly.

The police have given their word to the delegation that they will promptly investigate the matter.
