Passport Seva Portal Undergoing Maintenance from Aug 29 to Sept 2

Passport services will be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance from August 29 evening to September 2 morning.

The Ministry of External Affairs’ Passport Seva Portal will be temporarily unavailable for citizens and authorities for four days due to a scheduled maintenance activity.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Passport Seva Portal will be down for technical maintenance from Thursday, August 29, 2024, starting at 8:00 PM IST until Monday, September 2, 2024, at 6:00 AM IST.

During this period, the portal will not be accessible for citizens and various authorities, including the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Regional Passport Offices (RPO), Bureau of Immigration (BOI), Indian Security Press (ISP), Department of Posts (DoP), and Police Authorities.

The temporary shutdown will impact the issuance and processing of passport applications across the country.

Rescheduling of Appointments

Appointments already booked for August 30, 2024, will be rescheduled.

The Passport Seva Division of the Ministry of External Affairs has assured that affected applicants will be informed of their new appointment dates in due time.

A senior official stated, "We are committed to ensuring minimal inconvenience and will promptly update applicants regarding rescheduled appointments."

Citizens are advised to plan accordingly and be aware of the temporary unavailability of passport services during the specified period.
