Colored Bedrolls Introduced in AC Coaches of Delhi-Ranchi Rajdhani Express

Northern Railway launches colored bedrolls in AC coaches; initiative to improve cleanliness and passenger comfort.

Train passengers on the Delhi-Ranchi Rajdhani Express will now receive colored bedrolls instead of the traditional white ones.

JAMSHEDPUR – Northern Railway has introduced colored bedrolls in the AC coaches of the Delhi-Ranchi Rajdhani Express, replacing the previously used white linens.

This change aims to enhance cleanliness and improve passenger comfort.

The initiative was consistently advocated by former Rajya Sabha MP Samir Oraon, who had requested that the white bedrolls be replaced with darker-colored ones for better hygiene.

Oraon had also discussed the matter with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who assured action on the request.

With this implementation, Oraon expressed his gratitude to the Railway Minister, stating that the introduction of colored bedrolls will greatly benefit passengers.

He also shared his hope that this facility will gradually be extended across the entire country.

Oraon further mentioned that guidelines for the use of colored bedrolls in trains nationwide are expected soon.

This change is part of broader efforts to enhance passenger experience on Indian Railways, ensuring that the linens appear cleaner and more appealing.

Shashank Shekhar Swain, a rail, aviation and space enthusiast and member of Indian Railways Fan Club (IRFCA) & IndiaRailInfo (IRI) welcomed the decision and said: “The introduction of colored bedrolls is expected to set a new standard in train travel comfort.”
