DC Ananya Mittal Inspects Ghatshila Tribal Residential School, Issues Show Cause Notices

East Singhbhum DC Ananya Mittal conducts a surprise inspection of the Ghatshila Tribal Residential School, finding several deficiencies and issuing warnings to the principal and warden.

East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal expressed deep dissatisfaction with the poor conditions found during a surprise inspection of the Ghatshila Tribal Residential School and issued show cause notices to the principal and warden.

JAMSHEDPUR – On Saturday, East Singhbhum DC Ananya Mittal conducted an unannounced inspection of the Government Tribal Residential School in Upar Pabda, Ghatshila.

The inspection revealed several shortcomings in the school’s management, leading to the DC expressing strong displeasure.

During the inspection, Mittal discovered multiple issues, including the absence of fans and bulbs in several classrooms, dirty toilets and kitchen, and a poorly maintained playground.

She ordered Principal Kalicharan and Warden S. Shravan Kumar to rectify the deficiencies within seven days, warning of strict action if improvements are not made.

Show cause notices have been issued to both officials.

The DC thoroughly inspected the school’s classrooms, playground, kitchen, hostel, storeroom, computer lab, and toilets, noting the various deficiencies.

She instructed the principal and warden to ensure all basic facilities are provided, maintain cleanliness, serve nutritious meals according to the menu, and carry out tree plantation in the school premises.

Mittal also directed the ITDA Project Director and District Welfare Officer to conduct regular inspections of all residential schools in the district.

Additionally, she ordered the SDO, BDO, and CO to monitor the residential schools in their respective areas.

During her visit, DC Mittal also inspected the Heritage Village in Chengjoda and expressed satisfaction with the ongoing construction work.

She emphasized the importance of proper maintenance for the smooth operation of the Heritage Village and the convenience of tourists.

The inspection was attended by District Welfare Officer Rajendra Gupta, Ghatshila Sub-Divisional Officer Sachidanand Mahato, SDPO Ajit Kumar Kujur, BDO Unika Sharma, CO Nishant Ambar, and other officials.
