XITE Gamharia Concludes Successful Orientation Program 2024

Comprehensive orientation program at XITE Gamharia sets a positive tone for incoming students.

XITE Gamharia’s Orientation Program 2024, held from July 23rd to 30th, successfully welcomed new students with engaging sessions and activities.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Orientation Program 2024 at XITE Gamharia, conducted from July 23rd to 30th, provided a comprehensive introduction to college life for new students.

The week-long program, led by Principal Dr. Fr. E. A. Francis, SJ, included academic sessions, interactive activities, and skill-building workshops, reflecting high attendance and enthusiasm.

Daily Highlights

Day 1: The program began with a welcome session, an introduction to XITE, a multi-religion prayer, a quiz, and a time management session by Prof. Swati Singh.

Day 2: Featured an ice-breaking session by Mr. Tony Castelton, a responsible IT use session by IIM Indore alumnus Shraddha Agarwal, and a talent hunt showcasing fitness and art.

Day 3: Focused on communication skills with Prof. Akinchan Xaxa, industrial trends with CII Jharkhand’s Mr. Ranjot Singh and Mr. Prabhat Kumar, and a talent hunt with drama and open mic performances.

Day 4: Included an alumni talk by Akshit Anand and a Zumba session led by Zin Usha Gope and Zin Deepshikha.

Day 5: Dedicated to social responsibility with a session by Mr. Amit Sinha, Founder of Koru Foundation, and a talent hunt focused on dance and music.

Day 6: Featured a session on Moral Rearmament by Mr. Gurupada Mahato from TSF, emphasizing ethical values.

Loyola Day Celebration

The orientation culminated in a grand celebration of Loyola Day on July 30th, with cultural performances directed by Prof. Akinchan Xaxa and Dr. Radha Mahali, honoring St. Ignatius of Loyola’s feast day.

A heartfelt vote of thanks was extended to all participants and facilitators. The collective efforts of Prof. Sushmita Sen Chowdhury, Prof. Amit Chaturvedi, Prof. Anjali Jha, and the Branding & Communication Department were acknowledged.
