Chief Minister Hemant Soren Reviews Jharkhand’s Comprehensive Budget

Jharkhand’s budget for 2024-25, reviewed by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, to emphasize development across sectors including infrastructure, education, and health.

RANCHI – Chief Minister Hemant Soren convened a meeting with officials at the Jharkhand Secretariat today to review the state’s budget preparations for 2024-25.

The upcoming budget is set to address a wide range of sectors including infrastructure, education, sports, industry, health, agriculture, electricity, water, roads, and housing schemes.

It also looks to enhance pension amounts under social security and offers scholarships for students.

Soren stressed the importance of crafting a budget that reflects the priorities and aspirations of all Jharkhand citizens.

He underscored the need to concentrate on public welfare and comprehensive development, particularly strengthening the rural economy.

The budget provisions focus on creating employment and self-employment opportunities.

Plans to boost small and cottage industries, MNREGA, employment and self-employment, sports activities, women’s health, and children’s nutrition are included.

Attendees of the meeting included State Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon, Chief Secretary L. Khiyangte, and several other key officials.
