Rajiv Ranjan Singh criticizes Congress leaders for failing to condemn the violence against Hindus in Bangladesh.
BJP leader Rajiv Ranjan Singh has called for immediate action to stop the deadly attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, urging Congress leaders to speak out on the issue.
JAMSHEDPUR – BJP leader Rajiv Ranjan Singh has expressed deep concern over the ongoing violence against Hindus in Bangladesh, calling for swift action to halt the attacks.
Singh criticized Congress leaders for not condemning the violence and accused them of engaging in divisive rhetoric to destabilize the country.
He specifically mentioned that Congress leaders should urge Rahul Gandhi to raise the issue on international platforms and demanded that Congress leader Dr. Ajay Kumar clarify his stance on the matter.
Singh stated, "If Congress leaders lack the courage to speak out on these atrocities, they have no right to seek votes from the Indian public."
Alarming Situation in Bangladesh
Singh highlighted the recent surge in violence against Hindus following the departure of former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, with reports of around 300 deaths within a few days.
He noted that Hindu temples, including ISKCON, have been attacked, and homes looted, indicating the involvement of radical Islamic groups who hijacked a student-led movement against the government.
Singh emphasized the responsibility of the newly elected Prime Minister of Bangladesh, a Nobel laureate, to ensure the safety of Hindus in the country.
Call for Indian Government’s Intervention
Singh urged the Indian government to pressure Bangladesh’s military and the new Prime Minister to protect Hindus.
He also called for a review of the economic aid provided to Bangladesh, suggesting that it should be suspended until the safety of Hindus is ensured.
Singh expressed surprise at the silence of self-proclaimed Muslim leaders in India, who have not spoken out against the atrocities committed by Islamic groups in Bangladesh.
Appeal to Congress and Muslim Leaders
Singh criticized Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, and other leaders for failing to address the issue, accusing them of hypocrisy by claiming to support Hindus while remaining silent on their protection.
He urged Congress leaders in Jharkhand to convey to Rahul Gandhi the need to speak out in international media against the violence in Bangladesh.
Singh concluded by stating that if Congress leaders do not take a stand on this issue, they lose the right to ask for votes in India.
Another BJP supporter pointed out that Dr. Ajoy Kumar, the ex-MP of Jamshedpur, who has been quite articulate on topics ranging from international affairs to Olympics, has not uttered a single word on the Bangladesh issue and on the cruelty being done against them by Bangladeshi Islamists.
He said: “Dr. Ajoy Kumar’s silence shows he has nothing to speak on the issue.”
