Man Murdered Over Argument at Liquor Party in Jamshedpur

Accused arrested while fleeing; victim’s head crushed with stone after heated exchange

A 50-year-old man was brutally killed following an alcohol-fueled dispute in Jamshedpur’s Kitadih area, with the suspect apprehended while attempting to escape.

JAMSHEDPUR – Police have arrested Pratik Hans for the brutal murder of Turtan Kandulna near Kitadih Super Boys Club ground after a heated argument at a liquor party.

The victim’s body was discovered by locals the morning after the incident.

They promptly alerted the Parsudih police, who took the deceased into custody.

The remains were sent to MGM Medical College for postmortem examination.

Idan Kandulna, the victim’s brother, provided a statement based on which a murder case has been registered.

The gruesome event unfolded late Wednesday night at Pratik’s rented residence.

Both men had been consuming alcohol together when a disagreement arose.

Kandulna, under the influence, began advising Pratik to seek employment and stop wasting time.

This well-intentioned counsel escalated into a violent confrontation.

In a fit of rage, Pratik seized a stone and fatally crushed Kandulna’s head.

The accused, originally from Khunti, had been residing in Kitadih for two years with his employed father.

Pratik, known to be unemployed and reclusive, fled the crime scene immediately.

Authorities apprehended him while he was attempting to escape from Seraikela to Khunti.

Investigations into Pratik’s background revealed no formal criminal cases against him in Khunti.

However, a minor theft incident, previously settled at the Panchayat level, came to light.

Faiz Ahmed, the officer in charge of Parsudih police station, confirmed the case registration and the suspect’s custody.

"The accused is now in our custody, and legal proceedings will follow," stated Ahmed.

The local community has been left shocked by this brutal act of violence.

Authorities are urging residents to report any suspicious activities to prevent such incidents in the future.
