Car Rental Dispute Escalates in Mango, Jamshedpur

AI-tracked vehicle found damaged after overdue return; company seeks legal action

A Kolkata-based car rental company tracked down an unreturned vehicle in Mango, Jamshedpur, using AI technology, leading to a dispute with the renters.

JAMSHEDPUR – A car rental dispute erupted in Mango when a Kolkata company found their unreturned, damaged vehicle using AI tracking technology.

The incident unfolded on Friday when representatives from AS Car Lease Service Private Limited arrived in Mango to reclaim their vehicle.

The car had been rented a month ago by Imran Sheikh and two friends from Mango Baganshahi for a purported family wedding.

The rental agreement stipulated a 10-day return period, which the renters failed to honor.

Employing advanced AI technology installed in the car, the company successfully located the vehicle on Kuli Road in Mango.

Upon inspection, the representatives discovered the car was severely damaged, raising concerns about a possible accident or vandalism.

Attempts to reach Imran Sheikh proved unsuccessful, as he did not appear in person to address the situation.

Sheikh attempted to resolve the issue by sending a friend to return the keys, an offer promptly rejected by the company.

After a prolonged wait without Sheikh’s appearance, the company representatives announced their intention to pursue legal action.

The incident has brought attention to the risks associated with self-drive car rentals and the increasing use of technology in vehicle tracking.
