Durga Puja Central Committee Holds Preparatory Meeting in Jamshedpur

Committee reviews last year’s festival, discusses plans for upcoming celebrations

Jamshedpur Durga Puja Central Committee conducts executive meeting to plan for this year’s festivities.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Durga Puja Central Committee held its executive meeting at Misty Inn Hotel under the chairmanship of President Achintam Gupta.

Secretary General Ashutosh Singh directed auditor Pradeep Das to present last year’s financial report, which was unanimously approved.

The meeting focused on experiences from last year’s Durga Puja and preparations for this year’s festival.

Committee members praised the Jumbo Jet working committee’s contributions during the previous year’s celebrations.

President Gupta’s appeal for puja committees to support five needy individuals in their vicinity was well-received.

The committee provided immediate financial assistance of 2 lakh rupees to a family affected by an unfortunate incident during last year’s immersion.

Members appreciated the district administration’s cooperation during the previous Durga Puja.

Suggestions were made to approach the administration early for unfinished tasks from last year.

The committee discussed the need to identify new locations for puja committees displaced by corporate acquisitions.

Six new puja committees joined the central committee’s membership this year.

The meeting addressed concerns about potential rain during this year’s festival and the need for appropriate preparations.

A future meeting with idol makers is planned to discuss environmentally friendly suggestions and cooperation.

Rambaboo Singh requested prompt communication of government guidelines to puja committees to avoid last-minute confusion.

Executive President Bhupendra Singh delivered the vote of thanks at the conclusion of the meeting.
