Jharkhand Governor Departs for Maharashtra Role

CM Soren bids farewell at airport; Santosh Gangwar to be sworn in July 31

Governor CP Radhakrishnan leaves Jharkhand to assume new role as Maharashtra Governor, with CM Hemant Soren extending best wishes.

RANCHI – Governor CP Radhakrishnan departed from Jharkhand on Tuesday to take up his new position as Governor of Maharashtra.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren bid farewell to Radhakrishnan at Birsa Munda Airport, presenting him with a bouquet and memento.

Minister Banna Gupta and MP Nalin Soren were among the dignitaries present at the airport.

Senior state government officials, including Chief Secretary L. Khyangte and DGP Anurag Gupta, attended the farewell.

Prior to his departure, Radhakrishnan met with CM Soren and MLA Kalpana Murmu Soren at Raj Bhavan.

During the meeting, Soren expressed confidence in Radhakrishnan’s continued guidance benefiting Jharkhand’s people.

Santosh Gangwar, the newly appointed Governor of Jharkhand, will be sworn in on July 31.

Acting Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court Sujit Narayan Prasad will administer the oath to Gangwar.

Gangwar will become the 12th Governor of Jharkhand.

The farewell ceremony at the airport was attended by Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel and other officials.

CM Soren extended his best wishes to Radhakrishnan for his new role in Maharashtra.

The transition marks a significant change in Jharkhand’s gubernatorial leadership.
