Youth Leadership Conference Honors Jharkhand Achievers
Kalam Youth Ratna Award 2024 Recognizes Social Work and Sports Advocacy
Tarun Kumar and Alok Kumar from Jharkhand receive prestigious awards at the 6th Kalam International Youth Leadership Conference in Kolkata.
JAMSHEDPUR – The International Dr. Kalam Youth Ratna Award 2024 was bestowed upon two Jharkhand natives at the 6th Kalam International Youth Leadership Conference in Kolkata, which commemorated the accomplishments of global youth.
The conference, which took place at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium on July 27-28, 2024, attracted participants from a variety of countries, including India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal.
The event honored the legacy of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, India’s 11th President and Missile Man, by emphasizing his vision for youth empowerment.
Tarun Kumar, the founder of the Nishchay Foundation, was acknowledged for his contributions to the resolution of critical societal issues.
Kumar emphasized the importance of integrating emotional sensitivity with ground-level labor in order to effect meaningful change during the award ceremony.
Alok Kumar, a mountaineer, was also recognized for his efforts to encourage physical education and sports among youth.
Kumar underscored the significance of integrating self-defense, appropriate nutrition, and training into school curricula to develop young athletes.
The conference offered a platform for young leaders to exhibit their work in a variety of disciplines, such as environmental conservation, technology, and education.
Participants participated in an educational tour of the Victoria Memorial, which provided them with a deeper understanding of its historical significance.
The event’s global impact was underscored by the attendance of Padma Shri Niranjan Goswami, actor Rajan Kumar, and international delegate Intiza Kareem from Sri Lanka.
