New beneficiaries added to PMMSY as committee reviews progress
PMMSY implementation in East Singhbhum gains momentum with inclusion of new beneficiaries and plans for additional advertisement to attract eligible candidates.
JAMSHEDPUR – District officials convene to assess and improve the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana’s influence in the region.
The Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) was evaluated by the District Level Committee, which was chaired by District Magistrate Ananya Mittal.
Some beneficiaries expressed their inability to complete the scheme, despite the extensive promotional efforts.
The committee responded by deciding to include five additional beneficiaries in the program.
The 2022-23 fiscal year’s targets were partially achieved, according to the District Fisheries Officer.
"We have made progress, but there is still more to be done," stated Alka Panna, the District Fisheries Officer.
In order to cover the remaining positions, officials intend to publish an additional advertisement that will solicit applications from qualified candidates.
The meeting underscored the effective implementation of the PMMSY through the collaborative efforts of multiple departments.
