BJP Leaders Pay Tribute to Martyrs on Kargil Vijay Diwas

A torch rally commemorating Kargil Vijay Diwas showcased the community’s respect for India’s military valor and sacrifice.

GHATSHILA – In recognition of the valorous soldiers who defended India in 1999, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha organized a torch procession in Ghatshila to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas.

The rally, which was initiated at Gopalpur Phatak and concluded at Shaheed Dilip Besra Chowk, was conducted by BJYM District President Ranglal Mahto.

The gathering was addressed by Lakhan Mardi, a former BJP candidate, who underscored the importance of the day.

"Kargil Vijay Diwas symbolizes our nation’s courage and bravery," according to Mardi.

He emphasized the altruistic sacrifice of soldiers who safeguarded India’s borders during the 1999 conflict.

The occasion served as a poignant reminder of the armed forces’ commitment to national security.

Currently deployed military personnel were thanked by Amitabh Senapati and Devyani Murmu in a joint statement.

"We salute the valor of those who continue to guard our nation," according to them.

The procession was attended by a diverse array of local BJP leaders and community members.

The significance of sustaining readiness for national defense and respecting the armed forces was underscored by the attendees.

The commemoration emphasized the shared commitment to preserving the legacy of the martyrs of Kargil.
