Experienced playmaker brings wealth of Indian football success to Men of Steel
Javi Hernandez, a decorated Spanish midfielder with extensive Indian football experience, joins Jamshedpur FC for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
JAMSHEDPUR – For the 2024-25 season, Jamshedpur FC has strengthened their midfield by signing Spanish attacking midfielder Francisco Javier Hernández González, who is more commonly known as Javi Hernandez.
The 35-year-old playmaker has accumulated a wealth of experience that the Men of Steel can leverage, having had fruitful tenures with numerous Indian clubs over the past five years.
Hernandez has an exceptional reputation in Indian football, having won the Indian Super League (ISL) championship with ATK Mohun Bagan in 2019-20 and the Durand Cup with Bengaluru FC in 2022.

Hernandez’s professional career commenced in Spain, during which he participated in the junior academy of Real Madrid. Before achieving success in India, he also played professionally in Romania, Poland, and Azerbaijan.
