Police Hunt Absconding Women Naxalites, Paste Proclamation on Homes

Elevated Hunt: East Singhbhum Police Issue Warrants, Paste Ads on Homes of Female Naxalites in West Bengal

East Singhbhum Police intensify hunt for three absconding women Naxalites by pasting ads on their homes in Jhargram, West Bengal.

JAMSHEDPUR – The urgency in the hunt for three absconding women Naxalites has heightened, following the police action of pasting proclamation notice under Section 82 of Cr PC on the walls of their residences.

Executing orders from First Class Judicial Magistrate Numan Khan Azam, Patamada police station has raised the stakes by setting a deadline of November 30 for the accused to appear in Jamshedpur Court.

Sub-Inspector Vinay Kumar took charge of this novel approach, leading a team to Jhargram district in West Bengal.

Ads were placed outside the houses of Malti alias Dulari Murmu alias Mala of Gopivallabhpur, Pushpa alias Shakuntala alias Varsha alias Pari and Joba alias Bulu alias Budi, all residents of Belpahari.

These absconders, who are now under the lens for their affiliation with Asim Mandal’s squad, have been notified that non-compliance with the court order would result in the attachment of their properties.

Notably, a case against these women was lodged at Patamada police station as far back as 2017.

The police action signals a ratcheted-up operation against Naxalites, as this episode marks a new chapter in the East Singhbhum police’s efforts.
