JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel’s Sports Department launched the JOGGA Athletics Championship at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, drawing hundreds of young athletes.

Chief Sports Officer Mukul Vinayak Choudhari graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, marking the event’s significance.

The championship features 973 participants from 28 schools, competing across four categories: Senior Boys, Senior Girls, Junior Boys, and Junior Girls.

Athletes are demonstrating exceptional skill and sportsmanship throughout the two-day event.

The championship, set to conclude on July 19, serves as a platform for young talents to showcase their athletic prowess.

Tata Steel’s initiative underscores its dedication to promoting sports and nurturing a spirit of healthy competition.

A company spokesperson stated, "This event epitomizes our commitment to developing young talent and fostering a culture of sportsmanship in Jamshedpur."

Local coach Priya Sharma commented, "The JOGGA Championship provides an invaluable opportunity for our young athletes to compete at a high level."
