Contract workers of Kantilal Gandhi Hospital demonstrate, contractor pays dues

Jamshedpur: The contract workers of Kantilal Gandhi Hospital demonstrated under the leadership of Youth Intuc leader Rajiv Pandey. The workers also gheraoed the contractor to press for payment of their final settlement.

After receiving information about ruckus on hospital premises, Bistupur police also arrived there.

Youth Intuc leader Rajiv Pandey asked the contractor Balakrishna to pay the workers their final settlement dues.

When the contractor refused to pay immediately, the workers sat on a dharna.

Finally, the contractor and owner of service provider Laxmi Narayan Hospitality & Canteen Services agreed to pay late evening and then he paid all the workers their due settlement.

Workers got cheques of minimum Rs. 9,000 and maximum Rs. 40,000 as dues. Rest of the payment would be done later.
