Tata Steel Zoological Park celebrated World Snake Day by organizing a seminar on "Snake Identification and Preventive Measures," promoting environmental education and conservation.
JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Zoological Park celebrated World Snake Day on July 16, 2024, by organizing a seminar on "Snake Identification and Preventive Measures" to promote environmental education and conservation efforts.
The program began at 10:00 AM with a captivating talk by Mr. Rahul Tiwary from Sumansa, an NGO dedicated to wildlife and nature conservation.
The seminar aimed to educate students about the various types of snakes (venomous and non-venomous) found in the Jamshedpur area, their environmental significance, and essential safety precautions when handling snakes.
Seventy girl students and two accompanying teachers from Birsa Memorial High School, Sarjamada, Jamshedpur, attended the seminar.
In addition to the session, the students were given a guided tour of Tata Steel Zoological Park.
They observed a variety of animal species up close, enhancing their knowledge of animals and fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
