Jamshedpur Police Arrests Four Youths With Brown Sugar
Sidhgora police seize 42 bags of brown sugar, arresting four involved in the illegal trade and dispatching them to jail.
JAMSHEDPUR – Sidhgora police have apprehended four youths suspected of buying and selling brown sugar.
A total of 42 bags of the illicit substance, a mobile phone, and 2640 cash have been seized from the culprits.
Station in-charge Ranjit Kumar disclosed that the information regarding the unlawful trade near the toilet at Birsa Munda Town Hall surfaced on Saturday.
Following the tip-off, a police team led by DSP HeadQuarter One Virendra Kumar Ram carried out a raid and apprehended the four individuals.
Those arrested include Aman Kumar alias Aman Bachha, a resident of Sidhgora Vidyapati Nagar, Vijay Lohar alias Lulu, Suraj Yadav alias Bachha of Sidhgora Baridih market, and Manish Prasad, living near Sidhgora AIWC school.
Station in-charge Ranjit Kumar revealed the details during a press conference at the police station on Sunday.
He further informed that a raid campaign against others involved in the illegal trade is ongoing and they are expected to be apprehended soon.
All four detainees have been sent to jail in judicial custody.
