Mukhiya Sangh Submits Nine-Point Demand Letter To Deputy Commissioner

East Singhbhum Panchayat Leaders Seek Resolution To Stalled Development Projects

Delegation calls for improved coordination and authority in rural governance.

JAMSHEDPUR – A delegation from the East Singhbhum Mukhiya Sangh submitted a nine-point demand letter to the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Tuesday.

"We’re concerned about stalled development work in panchayats within railway areas," stated Saraswati Tudu, working president of the Mukhiya Sangh.

The letter was handed to the Deputy Commissioner’s personal secretary due to his unavailability.

Key demands include resuming halted panchayat-funded projects in Railway Area and Housing Colony.

The Sangh called for conducting all panchayat-level work from the Panchayat Secretariat.

"We’re seeking full authority for Mukhiyas over 14 departments and 29 subjects," Tudu added.

Other requests include repairing solar water towers and starting the Bagbera Rural Water Supply Scheme.

The delegation comprised Mukhiyas from various panchayats including East Kitadih and North Ghaghidih.

This move highlights ongoing challenges in rural development and governance in East Singhbhum.

The Mukhiya Sangh’s demands underscore the need for improved coordination between local and district authorities.
