Deputy Commissioner Reviews Rural Development Schemes In Jamshedpur

Ananya Mittal Sets Strict Deadlines For Housing, Finance, And MNREGA Projects

Officials face salary cuts and warnings for delays in scheme implementation.

JAMSHEDPUR – Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal recently held a thorough review of rural development schemes at the Collectorate Auditorium.

During the review, he discussed the issue of implementation delays and established new deadlines to ensure timely completion.

Mittal has decided to stop the salaries of Assistant Engineers (AEs) and Junior Engineers (JEs) from four blocks.

This action was taken due to their negligence in implementing the scheme.

"We should prioritize the completion of rural development schemes that are currently incomplete," Mittal emphasized.

The review discussed the Housing, 15th Finance, and MNREGA schemes in the district.

The Panchayat Samiti meetings are scheduled to take place from July 8th to July 13th. Attendance will be recorded using biometric technology.

Mittal has directed that 85% of the funds from the 15th Finance Commission be allocated to the Panchayat Samiti level by July 22nd.

Out of the total 7,822 beneficiaries of the housing scheme, only 2,268 have successfully completed the plinth level geo-tagging process.

The deadline for submitting second installment payment proposals for housing schemes has been set for July 9.

Mittal has requested the creation of man-days equivalent to 100% of the workforce, in line with the MNREGA targets. Additionally, the implementation of five schemes per village has been requested.

A large-scale campaign called ‘Log Jode Gadh Kode Maha Abhiyan’ is being launched to address 198 cases of rejected transactions.
