New Findings Link Jamshedpur to the Ongoing NEET Paper Leak Scandal
The ongoing CBI investigation into the NEET-UG 2024 paper leak has revealed connections to Jamshedpur, with new findings emerging daily.
JAMSHEDPUR – The CBI’s probe into the NEET-UG 2024 paper leak has expanded to Jamshedpur, with investigators uncovering potential links to the city’s involvement in the scandal.
For the past three days, the CBI team has been camping in Jamshedpur, conducting independent investigations without local police assistance.
The team has been visiting various locations each day but has yet to find concrete evidence.
On Monday and Tuesday, the team focused on the outskirts of Jamshedpur, indicating they might continue their operations in the area for several more days.
Investigation Details and Findings
During their investigation in Hazaribagh, the CBI team discovered clues pointing to Jamshedpur.
Sources suggest that attempts were made to leak the exam paper at a specific center in the city.
The CBI is searching for an individual directly connected to the case, believed to have coordinated with contacts in Hazaribagh.
Similar Modus Operandi
The CBI has found that the methods used in the paper leak are consistent across different locations.
In Hazaribagh, exam papers were stored in digitally locked tin boxes with a manual key lock.
The digital lock could only be opened with NTA’s authorization.
The CCTV coverage at the storage sites was incomplete, suggesting that the back of the boxes might have been tampered with to remove the papers.
Suspicious Movements Caught on CCTV
The CBI’s scrutiny of CCTV footage revealed unauthorized movements in the secure area where the papers were stored.
When questioned, the school principal and observers could not provide clear explanations.
At the Oasis School in Hazaribagh, during the opening of the exam paper box, the coordinator and invigilators appeared hurried and distracted attendees to prevent them from noticing the tampering.
Evidence suggests a third individual was guiding the principal and another person named Jamaluddin.
Ongoing Investigations
In Hazaribagh, the CBI is also reviewing call detail records (CDR) to trace the masterminds behind the operation.
The team, led by a DSP-level officer and two other officials, has been combing through areas such as Ramnagar, Mandai, and Kallu Chowk for leads.
The investigation continues to uncover new facets of the scandal, with the CBI committed to solving the case and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
