Jamshedpur Artist’s Painting Earns Prime Minister’s Recognition

Suman Prasad Receives Personal Letter From PM Modi After Election Rally Encounter

Persistence Pays Off As Local Artist’s Work Joins Prime Minister’s Collection

JAMSHEDPUR – Local artist Suman Prasad experienced a remarkable turn of events when her painting caught Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s attention during an election campaign, culminating in personal recognition from the PM.

"This is a moment of great honor for me," Prasad expressed, reflecting on the unexpected series of events.

Initially facing challenges due to the painting’s size, Prasad’s persistence led to PM Modi publicly acknowledging her work.

"A daughter has brought a beautiful painting here," Modi remarked to the crowd, instructing his security team to accept the gift.

Within 40 days, Prasad received confirmation from the Prime Minister’s Office that her painting had been received.

On June 29, while Prasad was in Bodh Gaya, a personal letter from PM Modi arrived at her Jamshedpur home.

"Prime Minister Modi not only saw my painting but also fulfilled his promise," Prasad said, expressing her gratitude.

The 3-foot painting now holds a place in the Prime Minister’s collection, highlighting local artistic talent.

This recognition has brought immense pride to Prasad’s family and the Jamshedpur art community.

The incident underscores the potential for unexpected opportunities and recognition in the world of art.
