However, he expressed disappointment with the result, especially given the opportunities crafted.
Cooper also lauded both his team and NorthEast United for showing a new style and new belief under new coaching staff.
On the topic of managing both Indian and foreign players, Cooper emphasized the importance of local talent.
According to him, any Asian team comprises a minimum of 70% local players.
Cooper stressed the necessity of understanding and prioritizing local players to succeed in any league in Asia.
Regarding young talent, Cooper drew attention to football academies as the foundation for any footballing nation.
He stressed the importance of clubs focusing on their academies for long-term progress.
Cooper also addressed the issue of not converting chances despite having a strong defense.
He mentioned the recent return of players like Chima and Ritwik Das and the addition of new striker Steve Ambri as promising signs.
Further, Cooper raised concerns about unfair scheduling in the ISL.
He pointed out that Jamshedpur FC has had less rest than opponents in multiple fixtures, questioning the league’s parity.

He revealed that Elsinho was never brought in to play as a midfielder, despite some misconceptions, and commended his swift adaptation to the ISL.
