Monsoon Rains Bring Relief to Jamshedpur and Kolhan Region

Temperatures drop below 40°C across Jharkhand as cloudy weather persists

Heavy rainfall expected in several districts on Tuesday

JAMSHEDPUR – Cloudy skies and scattered showers brought a pleasant respite to Jamshedpur and the Kolhan region on Monday, with temperatures remaining below 40°C across Jharkhand.

Jamshedpur recorded a maximum temperature of 30.4°C and a minimum of 26.0°C, significantly lower than recent weeks.

“This cooling trend is typical of the monsoon’s full arrival,” said a local meteorologist. “We expect these conditions to persist for the coming days.”

Khunti district received the highest rainfall in the state, while Sahebganj recorded the day’s highest maximum temperature at 36.5°C.

Monday’s Temperature Readings

Maximum temperatures for various districts had some notable readings including:

– Ranchi: 26.6°C

– Dhanbad: 30.8°C

– Godda: 36.4°C

– Pakur: 35.1°C

The Meteorological Department predicts cloudy conditions across most of Jharkhand on July 2 and 3.

Heavy rainfall is expected on Tuesday (July 2) in several districts, including:

– Deoghar

– Jamtara

– Giridih

– Dhanbad

– Koderma

– Hazaribagh

– Ranchi

– Khunti

– West Singhbhum

– East Singhbhum

Residents are advised to prepare for potential waterlogging and take necessary precautions during heavy rainfall.

This sustained monsoon activity is crucial for agriculture and water resources across Jharkhand.
